From founder-driven to system-driven
The transition every growing company must survive: replacing informal knowledge with documented structure.
Early companies run on founder memory. Prices live in the founder’s head. Quality lives in the founder’s taste. Every important decision routes through one person — and for a while, that works. It even feels efficient.
Then the company grows, and the founder becomes the bottleneck they used to complain about.
The invisible ceiling
A founder-driven company cannot grow past the founder’s calendar. Documentation feels bureaucratic until you realize its real function: it lets good decisions happen without you in the room.
We build this transition deliberately at The Nebula — including inside The Nebula. Processes documented, workflows systematized, execution measurable. A company should be an institution, not a personality.
Documentation lets good decisions happen without you in the room.
